Jane Bourne at San Francisco Ballet

My friend Barbara and I were treated to a very entertaining and educational pre-ballet interview with choreologist Jane Bourne last week, just before we saw the amazingly beautiful performance of Onegin by San Francisco Ballet.

I'd never heard of choreology, so it was all news to me - and Ms. Bourne's keen sense of humor and smarts made this a real pleasure to hear.  I did a little sketch of her during the talk - I am still learning how to smudge this kind of ink pen and get away with it!  She was much lovelier than my sketch, but I hope I caught her wry humor a bit.
